An early announcement of the work that would become Pezego: a data-driven mobile tool for AI-enabled pest detection, fertiliser optimisation and farm data management.
Editor’s note (May 2025). This article was published in July 2024 to announce the development of a Smart Farm App. The product subsequently launched in February 2025 as Pezego — see Pezego launches AI-powered pest identification and climate-smart management tool for current information.
Mutus Tech has announced development of a Smart Farm App — a data-driven mobile tool designed to support modern agricultural management. The app combines AI-enabled features, real-time data analysis and a clear user interface to help farmers and agronomists make better-informed decisions, with the goal of supporting more efficient and sustainable farming.
Planned features
The Smart Farm App is being designed with a suite of features for agricultural management:
- Real-time pest detection — quickly identify and quantify field pests so that any response can be timely and targeted.
- AI-enabled pest management — provide pest control recommendations informed by predictive analytics and regional resistance data, in support of sustainable IPM.
- Climate-smart fertiliser management — combine soil and climate signals to produce tailored fertiliser plans across different regions, supporting efficient use and reduced environmental impact.
- Farm data management — a single platform for monitoring crops, soil conditions and weather, to support informed decision-making.
- Practical tools — an AI assistant, pest and disease identification, and an agricultural knowledge base for on-demand reference.
- Yield estimation — multi-source data fusion and AI analysis to support yield estimates that aid farm planning.
Designed with user experience in mind
The Smart Farm App is being built with usability as a priority, supporting farmers and agronomists working on a range of farm sizes and across varying soil and climate conditions.
Towards smart agriculture
The Smart Farm App represents Mutus Tech’s commitment to sustainable, evidence-based farming. The team is dedicated to ongoing development and to providing dependable tools that help users improve productivity and reduce resource waste.
Updates on the official release will follow.
