Parallel Farm · sustainable fertiliser management
From field data to fertiliser decisions — on one operating record.
Parallel Farm centralises soil, climate, crop and operational data, then turns it into field-specific NPKS plans, Farm Tasks and forecasts. The same field polygon threads every stage from assessment to evidence pack.
Where this fits
The Plan stage in the Mutus operating loop.
-
Assess
Field polygon, soil chemistry, climate history and NDVI baseline assembled per parcel.
-
Plan
12-month N/P/K/S plan with yield, grain-composition and environmental-performance estimates. N-rate sensitivity to price changes.
-
Execute
Recommendations published as Farm Tasks with date, rate, owner, photos and input records.
-
Monitor
NDVI, Climate History and applied-input records frame the crop response.
-
Report
Field-level records consolidated into partner-ready evidence packs.
The product
Two surfaces, one source of truth.
Plan and report from the web dashboard. Execute and log from the mobile app. Every record, plan and recommendation lives in the same workspace.
Plan stage · annual & monthly
12-month NPKS plans, with economic N-rate sensitivity.
Tell Parallel Farm what you grow, where and what you're aiming for. The platform combines your soil profile, regional climate, the live weather forecast, target yield, current grain price and current fertiliser price — then produces a stage-timed fertilisation plan for the season.
N-rate recommendations are a working re-implementation of AHDB RB209 (V08). The N-Calculator supports economic sensitivity checks around the agronomically derived rate when fertiliser or grain prices move mid-season.
- Annual plans — full-season nutrient budget, peak application month, predicted yield and grain composition.
- Monthly schedule by growth stage — N, P, K and S rates pinned to BBCH stages (GS30, GS32, GS39).
- N-Calculator — single-field or 3-crop comparison; instantly model the impact of a price change.
Execute & Monitor
Turning recommendations into farm tasks.
Approved recommendations don't sit in a PDF — they publish into the Farm Tasks queue with date, rate, owner and status. Each task carries the agronomic detail (e.g. Nitrogen 47.8 kg/ha, Sulphur 4.4 kg/ha) and the field assignment, so the farm operator knows exactly what to apply where.
Farm operators log applied inputs, completion times, weather snapshots and photos directly from mobile. NDVI Analysis and Climate History sit alongside the task and input record on the same field polygon. NDVI is a vegetation-vigour / crop-response signal — interpreted with soil tests, crop context and management records, not a direct soil-health measurement.
Report stage
Evidence-ready records, not after-the-fact reconstruction.
Because plans, tasks, applied inputs, NDVI and weather all live on the same field polygon, the report is a roll-up — not a reconstruction.
Operating records are prepared for partner review and due diligence: recommended rate, adjusted rate, applied rate, completion date, photos, input notes and crop-response context. Output formats include templated multi-field reports and PDF exports.
Carbon Footprint estimates GHG impact (kg CO₂-eq per hectare) from fertiliser, fuel and machinery use, field by field. It is an environmental-performance estimation tool to inform partner conversations — not self-issued MRV, certification or carbon-credit evidence.
Evidence boundary — Parallel Farm provides decision support and partner-ready operating records. It is not an agronomic prescription substitute. Soil-health claims and environmental performance figures are subject to partner validation, agronomic context and project methodology.
Built for UK cereals and oilseeds
Crops we support out of the box.
- Winter Wheat
- Spring Wheat
- Winter Barley
- Spring Barley
- Winter Oats
- Winter Oilseed Rape
Each crop ships with AHDB-aligned agronomic profiles, growth-stage windows and a built-in pest & disease library. New crops can be added on request.
Who it's for
- Independent farms — Owner-operators wanting a single source of truth for plans, weather and records — without spreadsheets.
- Estate managers — Multi-farm portfolios needing consolidated planning, task assignment and reporting.
- Agronomy consultancies — Advisers briefing clients with AHDB-aligned plans, NDVI evidence and scenario modelling.
- Research partners — Institutions running on-farm trials, with structured data capture and replayable history.
