Mutus Tech presents AI-enabled agricultural research at IEEE ICIT 2025

8 April 2025

Mutus Tech took part in the 26th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT 2025) in Wuhan, China, presenting our latest AI-enabled precision agriculture research.

On 27 March 2025, Mutus Tech took part in the 26th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT 2025), held in Wuhan, China. Organised by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, the conference brought together researchers and engineers from around the world to discuss advances in industrial electronics and applied technology.

During the conference, Dr Kang Liu, Head of Research and Business Development at Mutus Tech, delivered a keynote on the company’s latest research and business activities. The talk focused on AI-enabled approaches to precision agriculture, including pest and disease detection, climate-smart fertiliser management and data-driven farm operations.

The University of Southampton team also presented their research paper, “TMTCIL-st: Spatio-temporal Tensor Multi-task Continuous Incremental Learning for Multi-fertiliser Management”, showing approaches to multi-fertiliser management using spatio-temporal AI models.

The event helped us build new connections with international agricultural technology businesses and research institutions, and provided useful industry insights for our future research and market work.
