24 March 2025
Mutus Tech is one of five UK agritech companies selected for the UK–India Agri-Tech Accelerator, visiting Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru to explore collaboration on sustainable, climate-resilient farming.
Mutus Tech is one of five UK agri-tech companies selected to take part in the UK–India Agri-Tech Accelerator Programme — a knowledge-exchange initiative aimed at fostering collaboration between British and Indian innovators in agricultural technology.
As part of the programme, our team visited Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru from 17 to 21 March 2025, engaging with leading agricultural research institutions, technology hubs and agri-tech start-ups. The visit offered useful insights into the priorities and challenges facing India’s agricultural sector, and the potential for future partnerships in sustainable, climate-resilient farming.
At Mutus Tech, we focus on AI-enabled data analytics for precision agriculture — pest identification, IPM strategies and fertiliser optimisation. By combining AI, IoT and large agricultural datasets, our solutions aim to help farmers make more informed, data-driven decisions, reduce input waste and support healthier crops. Our mobile tool, Pezego, brings real-time pest detection together with climate-smart recommendations tailored to local conditions.
The Accelerator Programme, supported by the UK Government in collaboration with Indian institutions, is designed to promote late-stage R&D, investment and market access. It supports UK agri-tech businesses in understanding the Indian market and encourages the development of practical, scalable approaches to key agricultural challenges.
During the visit, our team took part in site visits, networking events and knowledge-sharing sessions, including discussions on pest management, crop health monitoring and the role of digital technologies in improving agricultural outcomes. The enthusiasm for innovation and the potential for meaningful collaboration across both public and private sectors were particularly encouraging.
Dr Qing Xue, Director of Product Management at Mutus Tech, commented:
“This programme has been a valuable experience for our team — not only in understanding India’s agricultural needs more deeply, but also in identifying areas where our AI-enabled tools could be adapted to support farmers in different environments. We look forward to developing partnerships that help address real-world challenges in a sustainable, scalable way.”
Mutus Tech remains committed to supporting global efforts in sustainable, resilient and productive agriculture through research and collaboration.
